S&W completed a renovation of basement and ground floors to our house, which involved us living there for the second half of the project. We are very pleased with the results! Management of the whole project was very professional and there were no surprises with the completion of the project within budget. Sebastian maintains a high level of standards for the work of his team and they are very friendly and considerate. We look forward to working with S&W again in the next phase of the renovations to the house.

Mr Davis has been contracted to carry out a number of jobs and projects at our home over the last three years. I can state that Mr Davis is an extremely talented, conscientious, approachable and reliable tradesman. He has demonstrated that he is very punctual and works hard during his day. Before and during the project he provides good and usable advice to prevent errors and enhance the finished works. I consider he takes great pride in his work and is a creative craftsman. The last project he undertook for us was to convert a virtually disused room into our beautiful, highly practical family kitchen! Reclaimed wooden flooring, kitchen units, sink and worktops installed, doors hung, all decorated – the lot! If additional tradesmen are required to complete any aspects of the project - electricians, plumbers etc - he provides good tradesmen and manages their work too. We have been able to trust Mr Davis in our home unsupervised and he has also had the keys to our home. Completely honest and we trust both him and his abilities. Sebastian is a highly-skilled and competent all-round general builder and he is more than capable of undertaking, in an accurate and timely way, a wide range of domestic building and decorating tasks. Where necessary, as with the installation of more complex plumbing and electrical installation work, he enlists the support of specialist colleagues who are able to provide the necessary certifications now required by regulation. Over a period of several years, Sebastian has undertaken virtually the entire refurbishment of our large, London mansion flat, including: a completely refitted kitchen; a completely refitted bathroom and separate lavatory; together with the redecoration/refurbishment of the sitting room, dining room, hall and bedrooms. In the case of the dining room, for example, the work included sanding and sealing the concrete floor, prior to laying a new porcelain-tiled floor and skirting, and removing an unsatisfactory and inappropriate reproduction fireplace and surround, and making good. In the case of the two public rooms and the hall, in advance of the general redecorations, Sebastian replaced woodwork and plasterwork following specialist damp course renewal carried out by a separate contractor (appointed by the Management Company). In both bedrooms, he sanded and resealed the original Edwardian parquet floors and constructed extensive new bespoke fitted wardrobes and storage cupboards. His tiling is of the highest quality and this work in the kitchen, bathroom and lavatory is outstanding.

In addition to his considerable general building skills, Sebastian is entirely trustworthy and honest; he keeps wholly to his estimates; he provides the bills for all materials used; he works in an exceptionally clean and tidy fashion, always leaving the site tidy at the end of the day; and, he is punctual and wastes little time during his day’s work. In addition, he has a most pleasant and friendly demeanour; it is a pleasure to have him working in the house. We can recommend Sebastian Davis unreservedly and would have not a moment’s hesitation in using his services again ourselves or, indeed, in recommending him to others.
